If the Brewers have any shot, I think the Cubs need to win on Monday night vs. the Mets. Then it's only a one game lead with 6 to play. Anything is then possible. Brewers rotation is set up to go: Bush, Sheets, Sabathia, Suppan, McClung. If they can be within one and sweep the Pirates, they could be in business going into the final weekend of the year.
I know, I know, I'm probably setting myself up for a let down, but I just can't give up on this thing yet.
What did Kevin Garnett scream in the air after the Finals....... "Anything is Possible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I hate counting on the Cubs for anything, but Go Cubs!!!!!! Totally agree, Mets need to lose tonight. Hopefully the Cubs don't sandbag it and play to win. Can the Mets blow it again this year? Brewers still need to win 5. 90 wins I think would get the Crew into a playoff with the Metropolitans. At the Mets of course, damn coin flip.
They won't sandbag tonight as they are fighting for home field throughout the NL Playoffs. However, if they do win tonight, will they pack it in for a day or two and screw the Brewers. I wouldn't doubt it. Nobody wants to face Miwaukee with Sabathia and Sheets each going twice possibly in a series.
I know they've been horrible as a group in September, but you don't want to face Milwaukee with those two guys in a series.
