Stick a Fork In Them

They're done. There is absolutely no way they can win this series. If they continue to hit like this, they can't win. Their pitching can't keep them in every game. One of the announcers put it best when he said, "CC's had their backs the entire season, it's about time the hitters bail him out once." Yeah, good one. These guys can't hit period. I'm sorry, but Sveum doesn't get a free pass anymore either. What the hell are you continually starting Corey Hart for? Give Tony Gwynn Jr. a chance. I know that Kapler would be starting for sure if he wasn't hurt.
As for this series, I believe it's over. They'd have to win twice in Milwaukee to have CC go again on 3 days rest in a ballpark where it looks like the Brewers can't beat a little league team. I hope they can miraculously pull one out Saturday so I can say I at least went to a playoff game in my life.

Going to a Brewers playoff game always seemed like something from a sci-fi movie: it would be really cool to experience, but in my mind, I knew it would never happen. Cruel fate!

On another note, Al Davis looks like Gollom: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/extramustard/10/01/cubs-fans-get-bad-news/index.html.
Scroll down to see the resemblance.

very disappointing!!!!!!!! they don't make enough beer for how they played the last 2 days!!!! You can only ride a horse so long before it starts to break down. 2 innings both with 2 outs, 7 out of the 8 runs. Walks and errors will kill you every time. At least we didn't get swept at HOME!!!! Oooops, sorry Cubsfan :)

Time to start talking about, what will the Brewers look like next year? Will the bad taste this leaves in their mouth motivate them more next year? Who do they sign, who do they bring up, and who do they let walk? How much more $$$$ is Antanasio willing to fork out? At some point you can't keep blaming it on the team is too young anymore. At some point the players need to make plays and hit the ball!!!!!!!!!
